It's that time of year again. We were a little late this year with putting up the tree and what have you but only because our tree was still in transit. We received our last shipment of house hold goods on Dec. 8th. After we had cleared away most of the debris we managed to erect the tree and decorate it. Ah, at last the house matches the season.
The holiday's are always a little iffy for me, but I've decided that this year I'm going to start making them the best that I can and I'm going to exhaust myself making sure James is blown away every year. This year his presents are all on wheels. We bought him a.. well I'll post pictures on Christmas morning.
I'd love to write more and get a fraction of these thoughts out of my head but I'm due to pull some pumpkin muffins from the oven.
Here we go...

James 15 months
So I suck at the upkeep on this thing. I know it's terrible. I have a side blog I'm working on which deals more with my thoughts and my current writing projects but as of right now. It's private.
So anyways, back to the point of this post. James is doing wonderfully. He's 27 lbs and 32 inches tall. around the 80th percentile for both height and weight. I have a big boy and I'm damn proud of it. The doctor told us to keep up whatever we are doing because we have a very intelligent, well developed little boy. I couldn't be prouder. He goes back for some vaccines in a few days and then I might rethink what a wonderful child I have.
We've been a little absent from the Korean towns. For the last few weeks we've just been staying on base since all of us have been sick at some point. Right now it's my turn. After the Holidays we plan on doing quite a few more outings and I swear I'm going to get some pictures put up.

Ooh Korea
So here we are almost 4 weeks into our Korean stay. I'm happy to report James and I didn't suffer too long from the jet lag. The flight over was very smooth and James did so well, people kept telling me what a wonderful and well behaved baby I had. I was a very proud mommy. The first week of being here really was a blur. Adjusting to the new time zone and getting our house into a livable condition took a lot out of me. Our 2nd night here we went out to enjoy some Korean food and it was actually pretty good. James really loves rice.
Our first weekend out we ventured to a town called Suwon. They have this huge fortress there and its really a tiring walk but a pretty amazing workout. I wasn't super prepared for it but I think next time we go I'm going to really push myself up those steps! I'll have to tag pictures of Suwon in here later.
James is the Justin Bieber of Korea. The people here LOVE him. Men, women, teenage boys and girls all stop and stare at him. They tell us what a beautiful baby we have and he's been given candy, fruit, and even money. There is something about his big blue eyes that just makes everyone here melt.
This is messy and jumbled and its late so I'm going to bed. I WILL GET BETTER AT KEEPING THIS UP TO DATE!
G'night

The beggining. This is it.
You know I always start these blogs out and I feel overwhelmed because I convince myself that I have to put all of my past information in the first post. To give the readers a sense of who I am. I end up typing out a post that would put some advanced history books to shame. So we're going to try something a little bit different this time. We're going to start fresh. And you can learn as we go along if you choose to follow me on this little trek.
So welcome. This is what you need to know for now.j
My name is Kala I am 22 years old. I am married to a wonderful guy who is currently serving in the United States Air Force. I am the mother to a wonderful and amazing (I'm sure all moms say that about their kid) little boy. In less than a month I will be moving to Korea to begin our 3 year adventure.
So that's it. My introduction. Bare bones. Simple. Lame. But it is what it is. Until next time.
